Since last year, banks have been confronted with much greater challenges in terms of risk management. Boards of directors also have to meet significantly higher expectations in this area. Bruno Oppliger, Head of the Financial Services Risk Management Team at Ernst & Young, will offer insights into the role, remit and duties of the board of directors, together with an introduction to the subject of risk management, at the annual 'Bank BoDs' conference organized by "Schweizer Bank', the specialist magazine. He will conclude with an assessment of Basel II and a presentation of some lessons learned from the crisis on the financial markets.
